What is life like when you have recovered from PTSD? Can Everyday life be better?
Do you even remember what life was like before the incident(s) that brought about your trauma response?
For Christine from Ohio, everyday life IS better. And she is able to distinguish what has improved. She joined the Lotus Homeopathy PTSD study a few years back. She was very clear on what changes had occurred due to homeopathic healing.
After working with Kathryn for several months, I began to notice changes.
- I am able to think more clearly now.
- I don’t feel anxiety or dread any longer.
- I am able to pursue other methods or healing which I was unable to do because of my inability to stay focused and follow through.
I remember that I gave Christina an initial remedy, which helped for a couple months. Then some new symptoms arose. This is not unusual with homeopathy. Sometimes something deeper will emerge and a different remedy is needed temporarily. This was a grief episode that arose. Then, when she had dealt with that episode with an appropriate remedy, back to the original remedy which was more effective than it had been the first time around.
Not Living Through Trauma Over and Over Again
The other thing that Christine mentioned was that “talk therapy always lead me to re-telling the trauma and finding more trauma and in turn, leading me to feel like a victim and no way out and not hope to heal.”
This is one of the advantages of using homeopathy. We don’t need to hear the trauma over and over again. When you have an intake session, you will be asked about trauma, but as a homeopath, I am more concerned about how you felt, and what sensations you experienced at that time than exactly what happened. What it abuse? At whose hands? What do you think about when it comes to mind again?
Other Ways Her Life Is Better
One other thing that she mentioned, that was not in the testimonial, is that she was happier to walk her dog than she had been in the past. It was easier and she felt safer. Given it is National Walking the Dog Day this week, it is a good thing to mention.
